May is Better Hearing & Speech Month (BHSM) at the American Speech Hearing Association. BHSM provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of ASHA members in providing life-altering treatment. For 2015, the BHSM theme is "Early Intervention Counts."
To help celebrate, Speech Language Literacy Lab has organized a blog hop! 30 professionals have come together to provide ideas and free resources on "Response to Intervention(RTI) and School Based Innovation." Here is a link to the blog hop schedule.
What is RTI?
Response to Intervention is a method of identifying learning differences early and providing extra help in "tiers" of support. An RTI approach can also be used to qualify a student as learning disabled/dyslexic in the school setting. More information on different methods for special education qualification available here.
In order to provide our subscribed blog readers quick access to all the blogs this month, SL3 will visit each of the other participating blogger sites daily for you. We'll link up their sites to ours and send it all right to your inbox.
This way, our SL3 blog subscribers can grab coffee and just click for access to tons of ideas and freebies.
Wishing you all a month of better communication,
Speech Language Literacy Lab
